'Tis the week of potlucks and fellowship for the Danforth Four. Last night we were invited to the bi-monthly potluck kick off in our new neighborhood (our September neighborhood!). It was such a great opportunity to meet our future neighbors and have our future landlords (Phil and Denise) be there to introduce us. Our future cul-de-sac is full of kids Elaina and Sawyer's ages which is a huge blessing for Sam and I.
Tonight we have a potluck with our small group from Faith Bible Church. This has been one of our most meaningful blessings from the Lord. We have found this group to be welcoming, deep, seeking accountability, vulnerable, and faithful in intercessory prayer. The group has grown significantly recently, so I think we may be discussing a "group multiplication" for the Fall. Group multiplication is the term they use rather than group split for when the group gets too large for the intimate feel of a small group. We will be sad to think of having to part ways with anyone in the group, but are excited to see the group grow as it is a testimony to the work of the Holy Spirit.
Tomorrow night is a birthday potluck for one of Sam's co-workers. God continues to bless us through the Moody Aviation community and we have really enjoyed coming on board here.
Thank you to those of you who have been praying for a smooth transition, your prayers are being answered daily.
"Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25
